I always say you can tell how much fun a wedding was by how many people are left at the end of the night to send the bride and the groom away. For Samantha and Xavier, the number of guests that were left at 11pm to send them off created a sparkler exit longer than I've possibly ever seen!
Lori of Loretta K. Wall Photography perfectly captured their magical day and it was such an honor to work alongside her all day. I have so much respect for wedding photographers because besides the coordinators and the design team, they're the only other wedding professionals that are typically working ALL day long!
Samantha walked to her groom in an intricate Allure cinderella ball gown with a cathedral length veil purchased from Absolute Bridal that stunned as she walked down the aisle towards her groom at St. Ann's Catholic Church. I designed her bridal bouquet to very specific requests from Samantha. Her all white bouquet was crafted with hydrangeas, peonies, assorted greenery and six white garden roses. The six garden roses were in memory of six near and dear family members who had passed. Samantha's Grandpa Joe, her Popo, Momo, Xavier's two uncles Stephen Torres and Aldo Avila, and Xavier's dad, Mark Anthony Torres were all remembered throughout the day as people admired her bouquet. It was such an honor to create something that had so much meaning behind it. (Also, no pressure at all ;]...)
Wrapped around her bouquet we tied Samantha's great great Grandmother's handkerchief, her Momo's rosary, her Momo's locket that included a picture of her grandpa in it, and her grandpa's money clip that was lent to her for the day by her Tio Lilo
How amazing is it that she had so much family, so much meaning, so much of her past in her hands as she walked down the aisle towards her groom and her future!
Sweet Samantha and her groom Xavier hired me to design her wedding bouquet, several of their table centerpieces and style & coordinate their entire day. My team and I started the day at 7:00 the morning of the wedding setting up at the Reception Location, The Shack in The Back. An all outdoor location and 112 degree summer day in Texas made setting up pretty brutal, however as soon as we saw Samantha and Xavier's face upon arriving to their reception, the early morning call time and blistering heat (which had thankfully cooled down by reception time), was 112% worth it!!
I mean, look how happy these two are!!
When planning her evening Samantha and I wanted to incorporate aspects that would help all of her guests enjoy the night. To accomplish this we scattered yard games and comfort seating throughout the venue so that guests could take a break from dancing and play a game of giant jenga or relax on couches with a cocktail or cold beer. The week of the wedding Samantha found out that two of the guests that were coming would be spending their birthdays celebrating with her and Xavier, so in true Samantha form, she ordered Nothing Bundt Cakes to gift them!!
Samantha and Xavier are both such true, caring and good people. There were SO many happy tears cried throughout the day.. many of them my own (I get invested in my couples, y'all!). Their love for each other and for their family and friends was reflected in every detail of the day. There wasn't a moment they were together that there wasn't a smile on their faces. It was an absolute thrill and privilege to be a part of their big day! I am so honored that they chose me and my company to help them celebrate!
"My day was perfect, I can't put it into words. I loved the way the reception was set up - it was more than I could've ever imagined! We've had so many people tell us how much fun they had. I can't pick a favorite moment - I think about the day and seeing Dad and Bubba comes to mind, Sarah's singing, Ali and me dancing, Xavier's face, dad and I dancing. There is so so much and I'm just so happy with it all!"
